Miguel Camacho-Serna is a Latino designer and Principal at PLACE whose work celebrates the power of public places to connect cultures, communities, and generations. His civic work includes the Willamette Falls Inter-Tribal Public Access Project, advancing a landscape shaped by Tribal knowledge, cultural continuity, ecological stewardship, and renewed connection to one of the Pacific Northwest’s most significant places. At the new East County flagship library and Ikanum public plaza, Miguel has collaborated with Indigenous artists and community partners to weave culture, storytelling, art, and landscape into an inclusive civic destination. His commitment to cultural representation extends beyond practice through service on a Regional Arts & Culture Council selection committee, helping shape public art that reflects the communities it serves.
