Kathleen Lechleiter, FAIA, is an architect and educator whose practice has designed over 2,000 units of mixed-income and supportive housing across Baltimore, reimagining subsidized housing to center dignity, stability, and community. She engages homeless families, immigrants, veterans, and others in collaborative design processes, with projects like Linden House and a 152-unit scattered-site public housing initiative earning recognition, including a 2019 Daily Record award. A professor at Morgan State and North Dakota State University, she was named to the AIA College of Fellows in 2024 for her work advancing housing justice through design.
