Kerry Hawk Lessard

Kerry Hawk Lessard is an Applied Medical Anthropologist whose work focuses on the experience of intergenerational trauma and the ways it impacts contemporary health in Urban American Indian communities. With over two decades of experience in HIV systems of care and opioid overdose prevention, Kerry creates culturally-grounded health promotion/disease prevention interventions that meet the unique needs of Baltimore’s AI/AN population. She currently serves as Executive Director of Native American LifeLines, a Title V Urban Indian Health Program funded by the Indian Health Service and offering care to AI/AN in Maryland and Massachusetts.
